ton exercice est simple.

there is  + singulier

there are + pluriel

s'il y a une énumération qui suit, tout dépend du 1er mot de l'énumération.

si le 1er mot est au singulier ►there is

ex. : There is a banana, an apple and strawberries on the table

MAIS si le 1er mot est au pluriel  ►there are

ex : There are strawberries, a banana ans an apple on the table.

EXO 1

In my house, there is a kitchen and a living room downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. There is a large garage for my parent's car (the cars of my parents). In our garden, there are some lovely flowers. (There are lovely flowers in our garden.)

EXO 2

a- How many bedrooms are there in your house? There are three.

b- Is there a museum in your city ?

  - Yes there is a big museum.

c- Are there a lot of old castles in England ?

 - Yes, there are a lot!

d- Is there a garden gnome in your garden ?

 - Yes, there is one.
